Refunds

Before billing opens

Billing is not switched on yet. When it opens, payments will run on Stripe, and this page will apply to every payment from then on.

Studio plan

The Studio plan is $39 a month and renews automatically each month.

• You can cancel any time in the app. You don't need to email or call us.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the month you have paid for.
• We don't refund the current month, except where the law requires it.
• Your studio and your work stay in place after you cancel. Nothing is deleted.

Render wallet

You top up the wallet in advance. Renders, and larger Copilot models, are drawn from it at the published per-second or per-still price on our pricing page.

• The balance never expires. It stays yours whether or not you keep the Studio plan.
• Unused balance is refundable. Ask within [12 months] of a top-up and we refund the unused part of it in full. After that, we refund on request at our discretion.
• When you close your account, ask us and we will look at refunding any unused balance under the same rule.
• A take that finishes is charged, even if you don't keep it. You see the price before you render, so you decide before you spend.

Failed renders

If a render fails, you are not charged for it. Every take is metered in the usage ledger, and a failed take is reconciled back to your wallet. You don't need to ask.

If you think a failed take was charged, write to us with the shot or take and we'll check the ledger.

Free trial

Each new studio gets $3 of renders, once. It is free credit, so there is nothing to refund, and it can't be exchanged for cash.

Founding licence

The founding licence runs Tiny Cinema in your own DigitalOcean account, with your own provider keys. It is $1,000 a year, billed annually and renewable, and the price is locked for as long as the licence stays active. It is offered to up to ten small shops.

• Deposit. A $250 deposit holds your install slot. It is refundable in full until the install date.
• At install. You pay the remaining $750 when we install.
• 30-day money-back. If it's not right for you, ask within 30 days of the install and we refund what you paid for that year.
• Renewals. The licence renews each year. You can stop it renewing at any time before the renewal date.

Render costs in your own cloud are billed by your providers directly, so they are outside this page.

How to ask for a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account. Tell us your studio name and what you'd like refunded. We refund to the card or method you paid with, through Stripe. Your bank decides how long it takes to show.

Your rights under the law

Nothing on this page takes away a right you have under consumer law where you live. If the law gives you a longer cancellation or refund right, that right applies.
